CHOOSING A VIDEOGRAPHER
Choosing a videographer is a matter of personal taste and budget.
Personal taste
There are different styles of weddings and different styles in which a wedding video is produced.
A wedding may be produced documentary style where the videographer stays at a distance and captures the event as is.
An alternate way may allow the videographer to be creative with his or her shooting, suggesting shooting some scenes a certain way to achieve a certain look.
We combine both methods.
Some videographers prefer to shoot the entire wedding with the camera mounted on a tripod. The picture is rock steady but flexibility is sacrificed.
For single camera weddings, our videographers most often use the shoulder mounted method or a mix of shoulder mounted and tripod because
This gives us greater flexibility. We can quickly move the camera to the best vantage points and capture shots that might be impossible if the camera was on a tripod.
Multi camera weddings are shot with a combination of tripod and shoulder mounted shots.
Many videographers will use a wireless microphone to capture the vows during the ceremony but very few will consider capturing the music directly from the band or DJ.
If possible, we tap into the church system or use multiple mics.
We specialize in recording reception audio that sounds better than the actual reception.
Some videographers will only capture guests who are on the dance floor.
We also mingle with the guests who prefer to sit it out.
There are video companies as well as videographers who know what you want.
"Keep your ideas to yourself, we know what you want."
As video professionals who are not just limited to wedding video production, we understand how important it is to communicate with you and let you participate in the planning process. We want your opinion.
Videographers as well as photographers, DJs, band directors, all have egos.
We understand how important it is to put that ego aside and work as a team.
Is your videographer's personality compatible with yours?
Budget
Weddings are expensive. There is no disputing this fact. Wedding videos are expensive to produce. Professional cameras and computer editing equipment are expensive. A videographer who shoots well doesn't come cheap. Unless your cousin shoots the video (not a good idea) be prepared to spend a few dollars.
You can choose from several packages or construct your own.
We offer exceptional quality at reasonable prices.
The sum of it all
We don't sell wedding video production by knocking other companies. Our job is to explain the differences and encourage you to shop by comparison.
Our preferred style is to shoot without tripod at the reception which gives us flexibility and allows us mobility.
Our videographers are creative video artist who strive to make your video unique.
We shoot cinematic style with a dash of documentry.
The audio during the reception is as clear as the video thanks to our wireless electronic hook ups to the band or DJ.
We love people, we love our work (each wedding is a work of art to us) and we work in harmony with the other people who have a responsibility to make your wedding work.
Your wedding video is an investment (its value increases with time) as well as family legacy. That does not mean you should spend money on unwanted items. We work with you to put a package together that is taylored to your wishes. You won't pay for items that you feel are unnecessary.
